Join FOPP Board member and conservation fern biologist Layne Riibe and park ranger Mike Bell on this Friends exclusive, members-only field trip along the Rim Ramble Trail, a limited access area of Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park.
The Rim Ramble is a densely wooded 1.5 mile hiking trail on the northern prairie rim near Alachua Sink. The topography along the Rim Ramble is characterized by a dramatic pattern of sinkholes and unnusual plant communities. This part of the park is only accessible via ranger-led hikes and this particular hike is the first of a new series available only to current Friends of Paynes Prairie members.
New PPPSP Assistant Park Manager Laura Suthar will also be attending. It will be Laura's first Rim Ramble!
Trip capacity is strictly limited and precise meeting details and other instructions will be sent to you in an event confirmation email as soon as you submit your registration. If you have a family membership and would like to register a family member, please contact earlscalesjr@gmail.com with the request.
