The Friends of Paynes Prairie, Inc. has flourished as an organization, growing from fewer than 30 members in 2003 to over 450 in 2011.  Available funding has grown as well and many features now seen in the Park were sponsored in part by the Friends.

We are currently seeking volunteers who can help in the Visitor Center on Saturday mornings or afternoons.  We are looking for a few extra folks so that we can have an alternating or rotating schedule that supports plenty of flexibility for our volunteers as we understand Saturdays are a popular time for many other activities.

From Paynes Prairie To Your Front Door

For the first time ever, select popular items being sold in the Visitors Center are now available for order online and for delivery to your home. The items range from water bottles and T-shirts to plush toys, books, baseball caps and note cards – and all of the profits benefit the park. So scroll through these options and consider what items might make a good souvenir of your visit to the prairie or a good gift for others.

Thank you for supporting Paynes Prairie.
