First Day Hike

What better way to start the new year than with a hike in the great outdoors.  Take a walk on the wild side and explore an area of Paynes Prairie where you may see alligators, wild horses, many species of birds, and more!  Begin the new year by joining a ranger for a walk on La Chua Trail at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park.

Meet in the La Chua Trail parking lot, at the trailhead, at 8:00 AM.  No sign up or registration required.   

Guided walk is free, but park admission fees apply.

Fee at this location is $4 per vehicle parked at the La Chua Trail parking lot; cash only.
