Black bellied whistling tree ducks

Flocks of several dozen come off the prairie just before dawn, whistling and screeching like little parrots, and spreading across Gainesville's numerous wetlands to feed.  This previously exotic(Caribbean) duck has been breeding on the prairie for several years and is now quite numerous.
