The Gainesville Sun reported on Friend's Stargazing event held Saturday evening 1 February.

About 650 people viewed the heavens, courtesy of members of the Gainesville Astronomy Club, roasted s'mores around a campfire, took hayrides to a Cracker cowboy camp and  listened to Finnish Folk duo Vellamo.

Proceeds from the event go to Friend's support of the Paynes Prairie State Preserve operations, facilities and visitor programs.
