Rescheduled due to weather
New Date: Saturday, February 13, 2010
Hickory Ranch at Paynes Prairie
6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., $5 per person
The Friends of Paynes Prairie invite you to an evening of observing the night sky. Come learn more about the stars and the planets thanks to the Alachua Astronomy Club who will supply the telescopes.
Enjoy sitting around a campfire while sipping hot chocolate & making smores. Bring your family/friends, chairs for relaxing, and your musical instruments for playing 'round the fire.
Location - Paynes Prairie is located 10 miles south of Gainesville on U.S. 441 or 3 miles from exit 374 of I-75. Both highways have signs to direct you to the park. Do not enter at the Main Entrance/Ranger Station. Please proceed to Hickory Ranch at 9300 S.E. CR 234. Click here for a map.
RSVP - Planning to attend? Please send us an email and let us know how many are in your group. This way we know how much hot cocoa to stir up. Thanks.
Proceeds support the Friends of Paynes Prairie, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
