A rewarding volunteer opportunity open to everyone! Celebrate Earth Day at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park.
Join fellow Paynes Prairie fans and help restore native habitat by removing invasive exotic plants. We are still planning the details, but this is a great opportunity to learn more about exotic plants, spend some time OFF the trail in a different area of Paynes Prairie, and contribute a helping hand. If you are a student or individual with an interest in acquiring volunteer hours, this is also a great way to earn a few hours. Meet Paynes Prairie’s 2014 Americorps members, and learn more about the Americorps program.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
No pets please.
Bring a water bottle and work gloves if you have them.
Wear long pants and comfortable working shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
