First Bison Calf of 2009

Typically bison calves are born around Mother's Day at Paynes Prairie. This year staff, volunteers, and visitors were treated to a surprise on the La Chua Trail - a calf was born on Easter weekend, April 16, 2009.

This brings the bison herd up to 39!
